This weekend was really nice. Friday night me and my lover had a few drinks and hung out and biked to the movie theatre by his house to et popcorn but they were closed so we just made an insane amount of microwave popcorn at his house. He made me bacon and eggs for breakfast the next morning, which was super delicious. We ended up going on a bike ride along the canal to downtown. We watched a boat go through the locks which was super cool. Then we wandered around the market for a bit. There’s so much cool stuff down there. There’s this one really cool bookstore that we spent almost an hour in, and a sweet paper store, and some really nice clothing stores and kitchen stores and home decorating stores. It’s such a cute area of town. After we wandered for a bit we walked up by the art museum and then back down to the locks again and then biked along the Ottawa river. It was actually such a beautiful day out. It was sunny and not too hot but not too cold and omg it was glorious. Yesterday was the grand opening of the glebe location of The Marble Slab ice creamery, so we went and got cheap ice cream and ti was so good. Then we headed home and my lover and my roomie both took a nap. It was an early night yeasterday but this morning I woke up and made us both pancakes and then we went to the Landsdowne Farmers Market and bought lettuce and bread and it was just a tonne of fun. I love Ottawa :)

After reading, please direct your attention to bindiismyhero’s comment: “Not to be the devil’s advocate here..by you were riding the subway alone at 3am for what reason exactly?! Either leave early, or take a cab home-that’s just common NYC street sense.”
THAT’S RIGHT, EVERYONE. If you are out or having fun or doing anything that keeps you out late and someone harasses you or assaults you, it’s YOUR FAULT AND YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER.
WELCOME TO RAPE CULTURE 101.
So it’s common NYC sense to know someone is going to jerk off on you? Guess I missed that memo…
I went to new york in grade ten with my dance class. We were on the subway around 4 in the afternoon so it was kinda busy and we were spread out in the subway car a little. One of the girls in my class, who was 13 at the time, was sitting minding her own business when the guy in front of her whipped his dick out and for the rest of the train ride he stood there looking at her and then suggestively looking down at his dick, implying there was something she should be doing. I know it’s not the same as this situation, but just ugh. SHE WAS THIRTEEN and looked thirteen. Wahoo sexual harassment.

one of my roomie’s guy friends is super drunk and apparently he just said he thought I was pretty. I feel so loved.
ah! strange to see this on my dash but the flour shoppe has the best cupcakes ever!
Have you tried Thimblecakes? I found their cupcakes were better and the people working were friendlier.
