feministhistorian:

Um what? If you are pro-choice you believe everyone has the right to choose what to do with their bodies. You are included in that everyone. So you choose to not have an abortion. Choosing not to have an abortion does not make you pro-life. Choosing not to have an abortion because having an abortion is not the right decision for you and supporting other peoples decision to do what is right for them makes you pro-choice. Basically people who say “I’m personally pro-life but am publicly pro-choice” have a really bad understanding on what it means to be pro-choice and pro-life. Pro-choice means you believe people have the right to make decisions over their bodies without government interference and support people to make the right decisions for their life. Pro-life means you believe the government has the right to criminalize abortion and get involved in peoples private medical decisions. So how exactly can you be pro-life for yourself but pro-choice for everyone else? Logically it makes no sense.
